The TD&H Engineering office in Media, Pennsylvania opened in 2015 to provide Structural Engineering services to the Delaware Valley region and the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, New Jersey & Delaware. The office is located 12 miles west of Philadelphia in the center of Delaware County, The Media Borough. The team is led by Paul Hopkins, a qualified, licensed, Professional Engineer and Structural Engineer. We have the experience and know-how to provide practical solutions that are both cost effective and efficient.
We utilize a hands-on engineering and project management approach and we work closely with the clients we serve in the local region. Our structural engineering expertise and project experience will be the core of our office services.

Paul is the regional manager and heads the Structural department in the Media office. His experience in the Northeastern, Southwestern and Northwestern United States brings a vast array of project knowledge to the client. Paul has design expertise with nearly all commercially available building materials and has worked in many different industries including residential, commercial, educational, healthcare and industrial. Seismic evaluations, historic building renovations, precast design and industrial steel and concrete structures are some of Paul’s favorite to work on. Paul is also an expert in modeling complex large span wood and steel truss structures. For several years Paul has also worked in Aerospace and academia with advanced nonlinear finite element analysis modeling techniques and brings this rare combination of civil engineering and stress engineering to the construction industry. Paul completed his BS in Architectural & Civil Engineering at Drexel University, his MS in Civil Engineering (structures) at Arizona State University and received his PhD from the University of Idaho in 2015. Currently Paul is an Adjunct Professor at Widener University in the Civil Engineering Department. He is a corresponding member of the NCSEA Existing Building and Structural Retrofit Committee and Basics Education Committee.
Mary is a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania, Montana and Nevada. She has experience in the structural design and analysis of structures using steel, concrete, masonry, cold formed steel and timber. Mary has worked on military, commercial, residential and industrial jobs primarily in building structures. Two key qualities she brings to each project are attention to detail and effective communication. Mary received her BS from the US Air Force Academy and MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Andrew Cooper joined TD&H in October 2015 in the Media, Pennsylvania office. Andrew works on structural design calculations for residential and commercial structures using primarily timber, masonry, concrete and steel materials and performs Revit & AutoCAD drafting. He graduated with a Civil Engineering degree with a concentration in structural analysis at Widener University in 2016.
Megan joined TD&H as an intern in January 2018 and accepted a full time position in June 2018. She enjoys working with steel, concrete, precast concrete, timber and masonry structures while providing exceptional design/drafting support in Revit, AutoCAD and Tekla PC. Megan graduated from Widener University with a BS in Civil Engineering in May of 2018.
Brad Smith joined TD&H in September 2018 in the Media, Pennsylvania office. He graduated from Widener University with his Bachelors in Civil Engineering in 2018 and Masters in Engineering in 2019. Brad provides Revit and Tekla PC modeling support and enjoys working with wood, steel, concrete and masonry structures.
Mikael is a structural CAD designer at TD&H Engineering, joining the Media, Pennsylvania office in March 2019. Mikael specializes in 3D virtual space and drafting, with broad knowledge in design software for structural applications. Using Revit, AutoCAD, and Tekla PC, he efficiently and accurately assists engineers in the development of structural building information modeling (BIM), construction documents and shop fabrication drawings. Mikael also designs 2D graphical elements and marketing material for the Media office. He graduated with a BS in Industrial Design with a Minor in Design, Art, and Technology at The University of the Arts in May 2018.
