The new six-story medical building and surgical pavilion is a cast-in-place concrete structure with elevated slabs that support the 860 exterior precast concrete architectural cladding panels. The cladding panels are 6″ solid concrete and feature cast-in terracotta detailing. Along the East side, V-shaped precast panels support architectural terracotta “fins”.
TD&H Engineering designed the cladding panels along with their connections to the supporting concrete structure and assisted the contractor during construction with any field questions.
This project won the 2023 APA (Architectural Precast Association) Award for Excellence: for Design and Manufacturing
