TD&H has been instrumental in the Powwow Dance Pavilions. In 1993 TD&H provided the structural design for the 130’ Dance Pavilion. With the new plan, this structure will be used for stick games in the summer of 2009 when another pavilion is constructed on the grounds. The upgrades to the Powwow grounds include the following:
Schedule I: New 180’ Pavilion
Schedule II: 240’ x 200” central terrace area with 7-30” gravel pads to honor the Bands and gravel walkway to access between the pavilions and schedule III.
Schedule III: 3 Permanent concession buildings and two small pavilion shelters. The Powwow grounds include a new 180’ diameter War Dance Pavilion, seven 30’ diameter circular terraces, two walkways, interconnecting retaining walls and landscape beds as well as upgrades to the existing 130’ Stick Game Pavilion. The War Dance Pavilion structure of wood truss, wood purlins and plywood with a perimeter of wood columns with concrete foundations, center concrete beam column and foundation system, interior surface mounted area lighting and central wood platform. TD&H will provide the design, plans, details, specifications, construction cost estimates and construction administration.
