MSU- Harrison Street Reconstruction

Client Name: Montana State University
Construction Costs: $530,000
Completion Date: 2013

Project Description

This project included complete demolition and reconstruction of Harrison Street between 8th Avenue and 11th Avenue in Bozeman, Montana.  As part of the project, the once dead end street was extended to 11th Avenue to provide for better circulation around campus and in the area of multiple dormitories.  Services included civil site design, storm drainage design, and geotechnical engineering for the improvements.  Unique challenges of the project included replacing aging vitrified clay storm drain pipe and deteriorating steam and condensate lines.  Because of the high vehicle and pedestrian traffic utilizing the area, careful consideration was given to accommodating students and residence hall users.
