Project Description

An 11.8 km rural secondary highway reconstruction project for Cascade County and the Montana Department of Transportation.  TD&H provided complete project design that included complex wetland and geotechnical issues. Backslope stability and rockfall mitigation issues were compounded by the disconformity between the underlying carbonaceous Morrison shale and the basal sandstone of the Kootenai Formation (see photos below).
