Structural Precast Tekla BIM Designer

Our Media, PA regional office is seeking a full-time detailer/designer for our precast concrete/ structural engineering department. The position is focused on building information modeling (BIM) design for precast concrete structures using Tekla PC and quality checking and review of precast concrete erection and fabrication drawings. The Media office has a work environment which is busy yet relaxed, small group (<15), and stable with diversified client base and backlog.

Qualifications and Job Duties:
• 1-5 years in precast concrete or concrete detailing drafting preferred.
• Proficient with Tekla Structures PC BIM.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and/or Revit. Experience with 3D BIM is a plus.
• Able to work in Tekla Precast Concrete structures BIM > 90% of time.
• Experience with precast concrete detailing on buildings, warehouse, utility/municipal structures, and parking garages.
• Experience in reviewing architectural and structural plans, deciphering needs for precast concrete components, able to layout framing packages and erection drawings, create fabrication drawings (shop tickets), and perform QC/QA.
• Ability to spend time checking shop drawings/tickets and precast concrete erection drawings. Coordinate with designer and engineer.
• Ability to multi-task and work with multiple structural engineers on multiple projects.
