Angel Barnett, Mentee of Lewiston’s Jenni Light, Wins Prestigious Award

At the 2019 Northwest GIS Users conference Angel Barnett, a mentee of LCSC professor and TD&H-Lewiston environmental engineer Jenni Light, won first place for her ADA compliance data collection app. The Survey123 app is an ESRI® GIS product developed for an ADA compliance project through Lewis-Clark State College and the City of Lewiston. The app is a streamlined and efficient way to collect compliance data for city buildings and ancillary areas in the field with direct input to a GIS database. The data can then be exported to multiple formats. In Clearwater County, TD&H and LCSC students used the app for an ADA compliance inventory of county-owned properties. With the app, collection time and post processing of information was cut by 75% from traditional paper form collection. Below are pictures of Angel showing off the app, and of Jenni and Angel at the awards banquet.
