Agri-Tech Park

The Great Falls Development Authority developed a 10-lot Agri-Tech Industrial Park in Great Falls, MT. This park provides an area for industrial tenants that require rail service from BNSF. Projects necessary to complete this park included a railroad spur, 18th Avenue North pavement overlay, 67th St N reconstruction, water main extension, storm drain improvements and sanitary sewer collection, lift station, and conveyance. TD&H provided planning, surveying, platting, geotechnical investigations, and preliminary and final design for all infrastructure improvements. The internal wastewater collection system includes a major submersible lift station and force main piping. Utilities were sized to account for predicted industrial park user needs along with estimated demands from an ethanol plant proposed for adjacent property. TD&H transportation engineers prepared plans and specifications for pavement improvements to 18th Avenue North and railroad mainline and spur extensions. Roadway plans were approved by the City of Great Falls, BNSF reviewed and approved the railroad design. Storm water conveyance and detention design was also a requirement of City of Great Falls acceptance. Storm water control is designed to prevent impacts to nearby Whitmore Ravine.
