Fish Wildlife and Parks operates and maintains an RV Dump Station and septic at the Clearwater Junction Rest Area. The current treatment system is over 20 years old and major components are reaching the end of their useful life. The chemicals in RV tanks require additional treatment considerations beyond standard septic systems. TD&H conducted a study to determine the current number of uses during the peak month of usage and analyzed wastewater strengths to determine current hydraulic and organic loading on the adjoining septic drainfield. Phase II of the project will include rehabilitation of the existing pressure dosing system or design of a new advanced treatment system.
