Wolf Run Village is a housing development in Watford City, ND. Existing infrastructure on the site included a former trucking company shop and office building that had been moved to the site by a plumbing company after the railroad abandoned its branch line to Watford City and a city shop building. The property has been redeveloped with 6 apartment buildings and a daycare center. During the Phase I ESA, environmental conditions were identified that justified additional investigation. TD&H performed a Phase II ESA targeting heavy metals and hydrocarbons. This was performed simultaneously with the geotechnical investigation, with the same geologist/engineer performing the field work. Asbestos and lead-based paint inspections of the buildings were performed in conjunction with the Phase II ESA and geotechnical investigation, resulting in time and cost savings for the client. TD&H completed closure soil sampling and obtained closure of the project from the North Dakota Department of Health on behalf of the owner.
